YONGLAY'S SWEET SEVENTEEN

Ok I don't think it's sweet at all, but I'm just being gay at the title. Hehe.

Met up with Yonglay (DUH), Minshi, Yixin, Shiyu, LimBin, Glen. We went to Nihon Mura near my house to have a buffet lunch. Since its a buffet so we started to spam order food to satisfy our empty stomachs.

Ok the food was so so but I like the sashimi, tempura, chocolate eclair and macha ice cream with waffle. We took photos along the way. Ok I mean the girls only. The guys were entertaining themselves with food and laughing over some game on the iPad. /shrug shoulders.

As usual we wasted a lot of food. This scene never fails to appear whenever we have a buffet as our meal. What's more we are all Geography students. So guilty of it.

We were alost done with our food so we left for Bugis,  intending to catch a movie. It was 45 minutes to the start of the show, so the girls went for neoprints. Yeah neoprints was never a 'guy' thing, not even now. HAHA. We caught Jack Neo's new film, 'We Not Naughty'. As usual it was an awesome and inspiring show. I love it when there is some educational purposes and a lesson/many lessons to be learnt behind each movie. Plus I love his storylines. They are always closely related to our daily life. Even my mum agrees with that. Hahahaha me and my mum are indeed Jack Neo's fans.

After the movie it was around 9pm so we headed home.

I hope Yonglay enjoyed his day! I hope he did because he got our company and got something that he requested from us! Hehe.

This guy up there came to fetch me from work yesterday. And and and he brought along 2 large Best Fries Forever!!!!! IT WAS SUPER TASTY AND LARGE AND FILLING.

Fireworks, why are you so pretty?

Let me start this post by describing what exactly happened on 31st Dec 2011. So I went for the countdown at Marina Bay with Wendy, Yong Lay, Lim Bin and Jeremy. Supposedly Min Shi is coming to join us but we don't know where's our exact location at that point of time so she couldn't meet us :(

Ok. We were trying to walk to Esplanade. We followed the crowd and we ended up walking to an dead end. As in the police officers cordoned off the place so we couldn't walk over. So we walked again to another place nearby. It was so crowded and everyone was being squeezed together. I touched other people's perspiration OMGWTF. (Imagine the scene) We continued to walk further in to get a good spot to view the fireworks. Supposedly we were going to settle down at a pavement along the road opposite Esplanade and the Marina Bay Float. The road was blocked by road barriers, like those metal railings. I was really thankful that one random guy break through the barrier and everyone started to dash across the road to go to the river side. At first we were quite reluctant to do so cause we were afraid that the police might nab us, but AIYA HECK JUST RUN ONLY HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA :x

Ok I think the scene of us running over looked super hilarious. I think it looked like we are illegal foreigners running away from the police/ running for our lives hahahahahaha.

So we ran over two roads, and climbed up the railings along the road (Its was so unglam) and we stood in front of the roadside bushes to wait for the fireworks. IT WAS A REALLY REALLY REALLY GREAT VIEW I TELL YOU. Though we got up there illegally but who cares, one of the police officers still told us to be careful and even wished us Happy New Year hehehe.

So 1st Jan of 2012 finally arrived! It was the first time in my whole life I watched a live fireworks performance! Plus it was so bloody near to me! Hmmm maybe less than 1km away from me? I COULD EVEN SEE THE SPOT WHERE THE FIREWORKS WERE BEING SHOT OUT INTO THE SKY OH MY GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SO NICEEEEEEEEEEE

Watching the fireworks with such a short distance away from me really made me REAL ecstatic. I really have no regrets now. And it felt so great to catch it with my friends. Such an unique feeling I had at that point of time. Not just happiness. A myriad of feelings, but I can't seem to describe in words. 

Fireworks. You are so pretty. I can't get over them until today. 

Happiness is a verb

Sorry for the lack of updates during this period.
Was very very busy with work nowadays. I have to work almost everyday in a week, except for a few days that I would be off. Then, I only get to reach home at around 11.30pm or sometimes 12mn (due to the damn SMRT trains delays) every time I knock off from work. Yeah so tiring right.

But no complains, I would say. It is because retail jobs are like this. Low pay, yet mentally and physically challenging.

Some people might ask what is my job scope like. Working in a kids department, what do you think I would do. Fold clothes. Attend to customers. Ogle at babies. I'm utterly sorry to say that cute little babies never fails to distract me from work. I met one baby recently, she grabbed my finger and pulled my hair. Another one, she is super cute. She gave me a pat on my butt. Ok la I accept that, she is still a kid, she don't know what is outrage of modesty HAHAHAHAHA

Oh yeah, my colleagues are fun-loving, one thing which I'm extremely extremely grateful for. I thought my supervisor was a tigress (OOOOOPPPPPS), but after weeks of interaction, I found out actually she is a nice lady. Oh and I'm glad that another part-timer is the same age as me! You know, no generation gaps and more common topics to talk hehehe.

So far what I've listed down seems that retail jobs are fun. However let me tell you something. I have met those super super unreasonable and inconsiderate customers before. I met one woman who raged at me, when its her fault. Seriously, I can only go LOLWTF.

Ok anywwwwwwwwwwwwww back to today. I went to The Cathay @ Dhoby Ghaut (didn't even the existence if this place until today) to find Yixin at her workplace! Chatted for awhile then met up with Minshi, YongLay, Wendy, Brielle, Valencia, Glen and Elvin for dinner at Just Acia, Marina Square. The food was average only, cause according to YongLay the food sucks. They had free flow of ice cream and drinks. One minus point is that their ice cream is Magnolia ice cream, 1.5 litres of that only cost you 5 to 6 bucks in the supermarkets? Which is, NOT. WORTH. IT. At first I thought it was some branded ice cream, Haagen Daz maybe? Hahaha dream on man.

Nevertheless, as usual, we had fun over the table :)
HAHAHA looking forward to the chalet held at the end of the year with the same bunch of people!

Today a customer wanted a size M for a cardigan, so I went to Paragon to take stock. In the end I ran back, the customer said her daughter can't fit so end up got a size L. I didn't felt angry at all, because she and her husband kept saying thanks and sorry repeatedly. At least they appreciate my effort. I felt happy instead. Thanks for making me smile.

Small things like this made me less tired from a long day's work.

Its only 5 days after Os, actually

Today its 20 Nov, which is five days after the end of Os. But surprisingly it feels like its more than 5 days! Like 2 weeks or so? HAHA I don't know why I am feeling this way but I think everyone has the sentiments as me too!

So basically after the Os, I have been travelling to town almost everyday to shop for my Prom dress and shoes, except for Friday where I have to commit myself in Prom stuffs. So yeah I spent the whole day in school. And then met up again at night with my dear EXCOs in Jp for some simple shopping, chit chat when savouring on mouth-watering desserts and we also had a short arcade trip. Played the racing car game and I came out as the last one! Hahaha call me a noob/nerd (as I am one who doesn't spend money in arcades), but yeah I thought it was not surprising for my friends hehe.

I even bought sushi home! Although it was a tiring day, it was seriously an enjoyable one.

Went to town, AGAIN, with Bf! This is the first time I met him after the Os! Teeheeeeee

We went to Cineleisure Complex. Both of us always wanted to watch You Are The Apple Of My Eye. So we queued for the tickets and in the end there were no double seats left. Damn it, that was the worst thing that can ever happened. Feeling disappointed but not giving up yet, we walked to Shaw House to try our luck, in the end all the tickets were sold out and tickets were only available at 11+ pm, so yeah then we left. :/

So the supposedly movie date was called off and we decided to shop around. Went to Far East to look around and I finally got my wedges for Prom! It was a 5 inch one but it was pretty and mad comfy! Bf had full praises about the wedges too and that made me even determined to get that pair hehe. After awhile we were deciding on where to have dinner.

We ended up having dinner in Popeyes! Hahaha this reminded me of Yixin's joke. She pronounced "Popeyes" as "Popyeye" HAHAHAHAHAHA THAT WAS UBER FUNNY.

I tell you ah, the fried chicken was awesome, the mashed potato was heavenly and the fries was delicious. I have to say Popeyes' food is tastier than KFC's. And that stupid Bf of mine kept chanting "fat" when I was eating tsk. I told him this, "That contradicting moment when I said I want to slim down but I am here munching on fried chicken." Immediately I bit on the chicken wing and then he started laughing. I don't know why but he seemed very ecstatic and excited each time I say myself "FAT" or do something that means I am fat.

Yeah yeah yeah I got myself this boyfriend so don't complain right, some of you might say. Hahahaha but its okay I got used to it already and he told me even if I slim down one day he would still call me fat. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh looks like the word "fat" is inseparable from my life since the day I met him. But but but, I don't regret meeting him hehehe.

After dinner we took the bus home from Orchard. It is a better mode of transport due to the availability of seats at the time and my feet need a rest too :x

I wasted my time today, but the feeling was nice! I need a job, like right now. Otherwise I will rot to death. Ok that's all for now, bye!

Its the end of Os!!!

15 November, 3pm is a moment where everyone is waiting for. (For Bio students la)

At that moment it just felt like you just let go a heavy burden that you have carried on your shoulders for 4 years. Phew, out you go. The feeling is so awesome... so delightful.

4 years, so short yet so long. /insert sighing face

So far I have come, I have worked hard (okay maybe not) and it's time for me to play hard, I guess!

But the most importantly, I need to get a job first, then shopping, and spend time watching movies too. Maybe on days when I don't feel like doing anything, I should waste my time. Stoning/staring into blank space? Maybe stay in bed and do nothing. Sounds good yeah?

Last week, I smelled freedom.

Today, I tasted freedom.

For the next one and half months, I am going to savour freedom. Gonna enjoy it slowly and make sure its utilised to the fullest.

OK SO MEANWHILE I'M ENTERTAINING MYSELF WITH SIMS SOCIAL AND TETRIS BATTLE OK BYE TOMORROW (LATER) I'M GOING TO ENJOY LIFE WOOHOO

Hi there.

Today had our SS paper and it means we are having a 6 days break until our Higher Chinese Paper and 3 paper 1! Well sadly that doesn't include the people who still have History and Geography papers next Tues and Wednesday.

So today, after the SS paper ended at 9.30am, we went to the Cafe near Mac to slack, eat, play and talk. We were having so much fun there and others may think that Os have ended HAHA.

Spent around 3 hours there and then I went home first.

So I watched some parts of Paranormal Activity 3 and played Sims Social for the first time. On fb I mean. Cause I got the game Sims 3 on my phone last time.

IT WAS SO FUN LA EXCEPT MOST OF MY FRIENDS AREN'T PLAYING :(

And guess what, I got addicted to it. Not a good thing anyway hmmmm.

Ta-dah! This is my Sim's house HAHAHA not bad right! Shall tell Bf to play with me hehehe.

Anyway!!! I would be going to this NYPCO KPOP Concert with Bf, Jiaxin and Yonglay! :)
